The first person who stopped, tapped Mann on the shoulder and told him how her dog had just died that morning. How that morning had been the one year anniversary of her only daughter dying in a car accident. How what she needed now, when she felt most alone in the world, was a hug. He got down on one knee, they put their arms around each other and when they parted, she was smiling.
Everyone has problems and for sure mine haven’t compared. But to see someone who was once frowning, smile even for a moment, is worth it every time.
Yep.. from that day on, his sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives
In mid 2006, Mann’s granmother died.. and in consolation SickPuppies lead singer made a music video using the footage he had shot in 2004 to send to Mann as a gift, ‘This is who you are’ is written on the disk, and it’s uploaded to YouTube and now became one of the most popular video on youtube.
